Recently, a great development was made in Mexico: Mexico City has legalized abortion in certain clinics. To me, this is a big step for Mexico because it is a majority of Roman Catholics. Most of Latin America actually has not accepted or legalized abortion, so Mexico has taken a brave step. But this is amazing for those who live in Mexico, especially because since it once was extremely difficult to find a safe facility to have an abortion, so much so that many women felt forced to partake in illegal and unsanitary abortions. We'll see how long this lasts though- Roman Catholics are already furious this is occurring in just a small region.
